Blogs are blah

"Blog." Noun. Website log. From the latin "Websitius" (meaning public forum, like a soapbox in a marketplace) and "Logorum" (meaning a limbless tree on its side, or a record of events, diary). It's like an internet diary. Or a diary for ideas. Or diarrhea. So a blog is a website of verbal diarrhea.

Does anyone ever read these things? People pour their hearts into blogs. Hopes, dreams, opinions, stories, deepest feelings. These blogs, they're like everyone has all these things they want to say and share, in the faint hope that someone, anyone, will notice and listen and appreciate and value. Everyone just wants to be heard. Worth something.

Nobody does something extraordinary and keeps quiet forever. Nobody paints a picture never to be seen. All songs are meant to be heard. Secrets shared. But that's our reality. Nobody really knows how to listen, nor does anyone notice (unless it pertains to them). Yet we all long to be listened to.

If people really listened, there'd be a whole lot less to say. There'd be no need for blogs. We would just understand. Not so much verbal diarrhea.
